Carl Froch vs Gennady Golovkin Super Fight at Wembley...?

According to BBC Sport it would appear that Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport has today confirmed that they are in talks with Gennady Golovkin's promotional team with regards to a potential super fight between Carl Froch and GGG.

This would be an absolute war and almost guaranteed contest for fight of the year if this fight does get made. Both fighters have a never say die attitude and would be prepared to put it all on the line to give the fans a fight they would never forget.

Fight at 168 lbs

You would have to assume that Golovkin would move up to 168 pounds for this fight to take place as The Cobra has campaigned at super middleweight throughout his entire career.

What would make this intriguing is, would GGG carry his power from middleweight up to super middleweight? Froch is no mug, and is arguably the best & most entertaining super middleweight on the planet, so would relish the challenge and would not shy away from a war with the big hitter from Kazakhstan!

No Titles

Another interesting factor for this fight would be there would be no titles on the line. Froch was recently stripped of his WBA title and vacated his IBF title, which is being fought for this weekend between James DeGale and former Froch foe Andre Dirrell.

World titles are what every fighter dreams of achieving, but every once in a while, there is a super fight where titles are not necessary.

Should this fight happen K.O. Clothing would expect there to be major fireworks, and with Froch and GGG both being warriors, we would not be surprised if this fight went the distance and was a classic 12 round war!
